Abstract Technology lately established a six-member Offshore Development Center (ODC) for a UK client. The client provides business improvement and sales acceleration programs for customers located in over 120 countries worldwide in 13 different languages.

The client assigned five projects to the ODC, covering e-commerce, crystal report, marketing management etc, and we are responsible for the requirement analysis, design, coding and testing of all the projects.

Now, three of the projects have been kicked off simultaneously. Abstract Technology adopts Scrum — one of the agile development approaches, performing simple, iterati and incremental implementation to meet the changing requirement from the clie side. The project teams hold brief daily meetings; make measurable deliveri on week basis. The scrum master communicates with the client every day in multiple ways to identify the requiremen prioritisati and the problems emerged during the development cycles. Other members the teams, including the system architect, programmers and testers, are all accessib to the client for each individual work.
